Friar Roberto GENUIN Reelected Capuchin Minister General

On September 3, 2024, the General Chapter of the Capuchin Franciscan Order reelected Friar Roberto GENUIN as Minister General.

At 9:30 a.m., all of the Capitulars gathered in the chapel of the San Lorenzo da Brindisi International College in Rome to perform the specific liturgy and prayer for the election of the Minister General. Immediately afterwards, the Secretary of the Chapter took a roll call and the tellers distributed the ballots. After the vote, the tellers counted and examined the ballots. Friar Roberto GENUIN was elected on the first ballot, thus beginning his second term as Minister General of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. Friar Roberto accepted his new election and is the 73^rd Minister General of the Capuchin Franciscan Order. The official proclamation of the election results was met with great and prolonged applause.

Next, the Capitulars approached Friar Roberto, one by one, to pay him homage with a handshake and a hug, thanking him and wishing him continued good service to the Order.
