On August 3, 2023, the Provincial Custody of St. Anthony of Padua in Ghana vested fifteen young men in the Conventual Franciscan habit thus beginning their year of novitiate.

The new novices from the Custody of Ghana are Mark OPPONG; Theophilus Kwabena YEBOAH; Victor YIRBEEN; Albert ARCHER; Gregory ASUMADU-BOAKYE; Marvin Kusi APPIAH; Emmanuel Chibuikem UBAH; and Samuel Louis NYAMEKYE. The new novices from the Delegation in Burkina Faso are Eric KOETA; Amen Amevi WOMAGNON; Norbert Tarbsida SANKARA; Blaise Kouetcha GNAMMI; Pascal Pengdwende ZONGO; Gabin Datchega KIATTI; and Aubin OUEDRAGO. Friar Vitus Edem Yao MENSAH, the Provincial Custos of Ghana, presided over the rite of vesting and entrusted the novices to the care of their Director, Friar Moses Kabenla ARTHUR. We welcome these brothers to our fraternity and wish them well in this adventure they have courageously embraced so that they might be initiated into the Franciscan charism, life and spirituality.
