On Wednesday, January 13, 2021, almost all of the solemnly professed friars of the Provincial Custody of St. Anthony of Padua in Ghana met in Sunyani for their annual fraternal gathering. The gathering was graced with the presence of the Assistant General for the African Federation of Conventual Franciscans (AFCOF), Friar Anthony Bezo KUTIERO.

Friar Anthony encouraged the friars to continue in the spirit of togetherness and collaboration. He reminded them that in their efforts to minister to the people of God, they should not forget their identity and charism as Friars Minor Conventual.
The Vicar Custos, Friar Eugene ANTWI BOASIAKO, thanked the friars for their willingness to work together as brothers. He encouraged them to continue exercising their gifts in the context of the Franciscan charism. The gathering began with morning Mass. Later, the friars discussed various experiences they have had in their friaries and apostolates. The friars then took part in some fun games. They concluded the day with a game of tombola [a form of bingo] and a meal.
The evening before the fraternal gathering, on January 12, 2021, a memorial Mass was celebrated for Friar Giuliano ABRAM, Mr. Ahulo QUAO (the brother of Friar Paul Koku DOGBE) and Ms. Philomena KWOFIE (the mother of Friar Leonard CUDJOE).
