On January 24, 2024, Friar Samuel Kofi ANNOBIL and nine diocesan seminarians were ordained to the deaconate through the imposition of the hands of the local Ordinary, the Most Reverend Charles Gabriel PALMER-BUCKLE, Archbishop of Cape Coast, Ghana. The event took place at the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales in Cape Coast.
Those attending the colorful celebration included the Provincial Custos, Friar Vitus Edem Yao MENSAH, scores of friars, novices, and some aspirants who were taking part in a “Come and See” program at the St. Francis of Assisi Friary and Novitiate in Saltpond, Ghana. There were also family members present. After the ordination, Friar Samuel presided over solemn Evening Prayer. A festive and fraternal meal followed. Best wishes to Friar Samuel as he begins his ministry of service in the Order of Deacons.
