On June 27, 2025, the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, nine young men were vested in the habit of probation as they began their novitiate year. The vesting took place at the St. Francis of Assisi Friary and Novitiate House in Saltpond, Ghana.

The new novices are: Sitongnoma Paul KABORE, Gael Quentin Paling-Wende KISSOU, Wendpingre Lionel GANSONRE, Pousga Antoine SOULI, Augustin Kogloumaaga JUSTIN and Fabrice KABORE of the Provincial Delegation in Burkina Faso. The rest are Charles DAPAAH, Godwin Kojo ARTHUR and Gabriel Yaw AHORLU of the Provincial Custody of St. Anthony of Padua in Ghana.
Friar Emmanuel Kofi OCRAN, Vicar Custos of the Custody of Ghana presided over the ceremony. He entreated the novices to take advantage of the environment surrounding the novitiate community, namely, the Franciscan Valley of Prayer and Silence. He exhorted them to find, in prayer and silence, the path of discernment and growth in the Franciscan life.
Friar Emmanuel later entrusted the novices to Friar Moses Kabenla ARTHUR, the Director of Novices who, in turn, assisted by the other friars present, vested the novices in their habit of probation.
