On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, the Provincial governments (Definitories) of the Province of St. Jerome in Croatia and the Province of St. Joseph in Slovenia conducted their annual joint meeting. The event took place at the Bl. Anton Slomšek Friary in Olimje, Slovenia.
After Midday Prayer and greetings, the Ministers Provincial, Friar Milan KOS (Slovenia) and Friar Miljenko HONTIĆ (Croatia) gave two brief reports on the status of their respective Provinces over the past year. Friar Milan, as President of the Centralis Europae Foederatio (CEF), briefed the Definitors on completed projects, recent events and plans for upcoming activities involving the friars of the Federation.
The participants decided that this year’s traditional meeting of the two Provinces, will be held April 30, 2025, at the friary in Sisak, Croatia.
Among other things, the friars discussed the friary in Copenhagen, Denmark, emphasizing the importance of the Franciscan charism at the international level, which is manifested in normal parish pastoral activities.
At the end of the meeting the friars expressed their appreciation for these joint Provincial Definitory meetings, which have proven to be fruitful and enriching for all involved.
In the afternoon, each Definitory worked separately on topical issues concerning its own Province.
