On Monday, June 1, 2020, the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in India began its 2020-2021 novitiate year with five novices, all from Kerala State.
The Minister Provincial, Friar Bonaventure Kalluvettukuzhiyil, presided over the opening Mass. The Vicar Provincial, Friar Antony Nallukunnel and Friar Alphonse Vazhappanady, concelebrated. Since the Novice Master, Friar Damian Veliyil, was unable to move to Kerala due to restrictions imposed by the pandemic, the novices were entrusted to the care of the Assistant Novice Master, Friar Alphonse Vazhappanady.
