On Saturday, October 3, 2020, the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua (Northern Italy), and its Provincial Custody of St. Anthony of Padua in Ghana, celebrated and thanked God as they shared in a special event at the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua.

This was a special Mass which included the rite of solemn profession for Friars Jonathan MUTUO and Sylvester Eugene KOOMSON, two young confreres from the Custody of Ghana. These men are living de familia at the San Giovanni Battista and Sant’Antonio di Padova Friary in nearby Camposampiero, Italy. Both friars are studying theology at the Theological Faculty of the Triveneto in Padua.
Many friars came to participate in this beautiful and significant celebration, especially friars currently serving or studying in Italy, including some from the Custody of Ghana.
The rite was presided over by the Vicar Provincial, Friar Roberto M. BRANDINELLI. A choir of clerical students from the Sant’Antonio Dottore di Padova Theological Seminary animated the event with song. The same students also provided liturgical service.
We would like to inform you that at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, our brother Friar Stefano VINCITORIO from the Beata Vergine Immacolata e Sant’Antonio Friary in Milan, Italy, will be ordained a priest at the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua, through the imposition of hands and consecratory prayer of the Most Reverend Fabio DAL CIN, Pontifical Delegate.
You can watch the ordination being live streamed at: https://www.santantonio.org/it/live-streaming.
