On November 29, 2021, the Feast of All Saints of the Seraphic Order, six friars from the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico received the ministry of lector, while a seventh received the ministry of acolyte. The ministries were conferred during a ceremony held at the Maria Inmaculada Friary and Formation House in Cuautitlán Izcalli (State of Mexico), Mexico.

The ceremony was presided over by the Vicar Provincial, Friar Cornelio Cándido MORÁN RÍOS. In his homily, Friar Cornelio reminded the friars of their new mission: to proclaim the Word at liturgical celebrations and beyond, but also to proclaim the Good News to all people. He also mentioned the mission of the acolyte, which is to assist priests and deacons in their ministry and to participate more intensely in the Lord’s sacrifice.
The new lectors are Friars Raúl Alejandro ROBLES JIMÉNEZ; Bernardino LÓPEZ FRANCISCO; Dennis Eduardo LUCÍA GARCÍA; César Alberto CARREÓN PARRA; José Manuel LUJANO MIRANDA and Deciderio MORALES RIVERA. The new acolyte is Friar Fredi Martín FRÍAS HERRERA, a member of the Provincial Delegation in Peru.
The event was a moment of great joy for the confreres and a further step in their formation. May God grant them perseverance and fidelity in responding to God’s call, incarnating in their lives, the One who is the Word, following the example of Mary Immaculate, so that they may always be signs of God’s loving presence in the world today.
