On January 14, 2021, the Congregation for Catholic Education appointed Friar Raffaele DI MURO, OFM Conv., as Dean of the Pontifical Theological Faculty of St. Bonaventure in Rome, for a period of three years.

Friar Raffaele belongs to the Province of the Seraphic Father St. Francis in Italy (Naples). He was born in Lucera, Italy, on March 25, 1969. He made his simple profession on August 29, 1997, and his solemn profession on September 9, 2000. He was ordained a deacon on March 24, 2001 and was ordained to the priesthood in Lucera on August 11, 2001, by the Most Reverend Francesco ZERRILLO, Bishop of Lucera-Troia, Italy.
Friar Raffaele earned a Doctorate in Sacred Theology at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of St. Bonaventure (October 23, 2004) a degree in political science at the University of Bari (June 26, 1996) and a diploma in graphology at the G. Moretti Institute of Graphology in Rome (June 12, 2001).
Currently, Friar Raffaele holds a number of positions at the St. Bonaventure Faculty, namely, Full Professor of Spiritual Theology and Franciscan Spirituality, Director of the Kolbean Chair, Coordinator of the Licentiate in Franciscanism, Director of the Seraphicum School of Graphology and Econom.
