On September 12, 2020, the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Poland (Gdansk) celebrated two important events in the area of formation: a ceremony for the profession of simple vows and another for the profession of solemn vows.

Eight friars professed their simple vows after recently completing their novitiate year in Smardzewice. Among them was Friar Wojciech MACH from the Province of Gdańsk. The Minister Provincial of the Province of the Immaculate Mother of God in Poland (Warsaw), Friar Grzegorz BARTOSIK, presided over the Mass for the event. The Vicar Provincial of the Province of Gdańsk, Friar Andrzej LENGENFELD, gave the homily. Friar Wojciech professed his vows into the hands of Friar Andrzej who was serving as the Delegate of the Minister Provincial.
Meanwhile, Friar Stanisław ULACZYK professed his solemn vows at the Church of St. Francis in Ostróda, Poland. The Minister Provincial of Gdańsk, Friar Wojciech KULIG, presided over the ceremony and received Friar Stanisław’s vows. Before joining the Order, Friar Stanisław had been a diocesan priest. This year, he celebrated his 40th anniversary of priesthood. Others concelebrating at the solemn vow ceremony included the Provincial Econom, Friar Bogdan WROŃSKI and the Guardian and Pastor at the friary in Ostróda, Friar Robert TWARDOKUS. Also present were the Guardians of the friaries where Friar Stanisław received his religious formation: Friars Zenon GARUS, Mariusz FAŁKOWSKI, Wiesław PRZYBYSZ and Paweł KACZMARSKI.
