On May 26-31, 2025, a retreat for persons with oncological diseases was conducted at the friary in Niepokalanów Lasek, Poland, a presence of the Province of the Immaculate Mother of God in Poland (Warsaw).
The main theme of the retreat was: “If We Suffer together with Jesus, We Will Be together with Him in the Glory of Heaven” (cf. Rom 8:17). The retreat was led by Friar Stanisław Maria PIĘTKA. Thirty people attended.
During the retreat, the participants listened to some meditations on the theme of suffering and heaven, and shared their experiences of life and work.
The retreat program included common prayer, Mass, Stations of the Cross, and an opportunity to receive the sacrament of the anointing of the sick.
The participants were also provided medical consultations: they were examined by medical specialists, including Dr. Wiktor CHMIELARCZYK, Dr. Jolanta KLESZCZEWSKA and Dr. Tomasz ŚWITAJ.
Everyone enjoyed spending fraternal time together and going for walks. They also enjoyed singing together during the evening and having fun with the band “Radosna Jesień Teresina”.
This year some newcomers came to the community and joined our retreat family, because here, everyone feels safe in the Heart of the Mother.
