On May 28, 2022, Friar Dawid BUJAS, a member of the Province of St. Anthony and Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow), was ordained to the priesthood at the hands of the Most Reverend Damian MUSKUS, OFM, Auxiliary Bishop of Cracow. The ordination took place at the Basilica of St. Francis in Cracow.

In his homily, Bishop MUSKUS had a lot of important advice for our confrere: “Delete the term ‘pastoral success’ from your dictionary. This expression is wrong, because the priesthood is a mission. It is humble service, not an obstacle course. Do not seek recognition. Be simple with people. When you meet them, be mindful of what they are going through. Be with those who suffer and are worried about the future. Be with those who have a positive view of the world and are very joyful inside. Be with every person. The world is wounded by injustice, violence, and misery. The Church finds itself wounded by sin and wickedness. The only remedy is humble love.” The bishop repeated what Christ said: “Learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart.” He also encouraged us to pray daily: “Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like yours.”
Friar Marian GOŁĄB, the Minister Provincial of the Province of Cracow, thanked the new priest for having accepted his religious and priestly vocation from God. “God has given Himself to you. He has put Himself in your hands. May this be the pearl for which you give your life. May this yoke you bear be a burden of sweetness for you. May the Lord guide and sustain you.”
At the end of the celebration, Friar Dawid thanked God for the gift of his life and vocation. He stated his wish to dedicate each day of his priesthood to the glory of God. He also expressed his immense gratitude to all those who guided him along the path of his vocation.
