On June 9-10, 2018, the preparation team for the International “Youth Towards Assisi” Meeting held its final planning session at the Seraphicum International College in Rome. The International Meeting will take place August 12-19, 2018, in Assisi and Rome.
All the members of the team were present: Friars Simone TENUTI (the Meeting’s Director), Giulio CESAREO, Francesco SCIALPI, Jack MARDESIC, Tomasz TĘGOWSKI (in charge of the Militia of the Immaculate youth group), Massimiliano VOLANTE (the Meeting’s Treasurer) and the Assistant General for the Centralis Europae Foederatio (CEF), Friar Miljenko HONTIĆ.
The team’s final meeting took place over the weekend because those were the only days available for some of the members.
After completing the organizational work, a number of presiders were chosen to head the Meeting’s various celebrations. Next, the Meeting’s balance sheets were presented. Workshop activities and other details of the Meeting were finalized. At present, there are some 350 young people and their companions registered.
Although registration closed on May 31, 2018, some exceptions may be possible.
During the two-day meeting, the team members joined the students of the Seraphicum College for prayer and Mass.
