The Secretariat of the Province of St. Joseph, Spouse of the B.V.M. arranged for the translation of the new Constitutions and the General Statutes of the Order into Romanian.
This project was requested by the Minister Provincial, Friar Teofil PETRIȘOR, with his Definitory.
The project was completed after a period of demanding and exacting effort. The translation was made from the approved texts in the Italian language.
The Minister General, Friar Carlos A. TROVARELLI, issued a Decree dated November 29, 2019 (prot. n. 895/2019), authorizing the printing of the two legislative documents. Moreover, for the sake of completeness and practicality, it was decided to publish the two documents in a single volume.
The publication of the book happily coincided with some formation days held on December 3-5, 2019, at the friary in Bacau, Romania. This formation event was dedicated to reflecting on the new Constitutions. All the friars living in Romania participated. Friar Víctor Manuel MORA MESÉN, a member of the Executive Committee for the Revision of the Constitutions, was very helpful and led the initiative with great competence.
