The Pontifical Theological Faculty of St. Bonaventure (Seraphicum) in Rome was eager to answer the request of the Minister General, Friar Carlos TROVARELLI, who called for financial donations to support the work of our friars in Ukraine. The friars are currently assisting refugees and others in need, who remain inside the country.

To this end, the Seraphicum organized two benefit concert/recitals performed by young musicians and music students. Both concerts took place on Sunday, April 3, 2022. One was held at 5:00 p.m. at Rome’s Aristotele High School and the other took place at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Rome’s Musiké School of Music. In keeping with the spirit of communion during both events, a solidarity fund drive promoted by the Sacred Convent of Assisi was also presented. Donations to the drive can be made by sending an SMS to the number 45515. The number will remain valid through April 30, 2022. (For more information, go to: www.sanfrancesco.org).
The proceeds from both concerts, and the spontaneous donations from the people, totaled around €3800. Following the instructions of the General Curia, these funds were sent directly to our confreres in Ukraine, to one of their current accounts. This initiative combined solidarity, creativity and the formation of young people. We hope similar initiatives will be promoted in other Conventual and parochial settings entrusted to our Order.
