On May 13, 2021, Friar Carlos A. TROVARELLI conferred the ministry of acolyte upon six temporarily professed friars of the Seraphicum College formation community in Rome. The event took place during the 7:00 p.m. Mass in the San Bonaventura chapel of the College.

The entire community of the college invited Friar Carlos to preside over the celebration of this important event. Friar Felice FIASCONARO, Guardian of the Seraphicum General House, addressed the six candidates, wishing them all the best and emphasizing that this ministry is an important service which they are called to carry out with commitment and dedication, not only because it is closely associated with the liturgy, but because they must perform this charitable service with integrity each day.
The new acolytes are Friars Luca Romano FIUME, Salvatore ROBUSTELLI, Domenico Paolo DI RIDOLFI, Jadson PEREIRA REGO, Friar Nomgommanagre TIENDREBEOGO, and James MALISA.
The Minister General defined this ministry as a fundamental step in the candidates’ journey. He encouraged them to stay connected to the joy that dwells in our hearts, regardless of external events. It is exactly this joy that protects our vocation and makes it fruitful, so that the witness we present during service on the altar may be the same witness we present in every dimension of our lives.
The celebration ended with a solemn blessing from Friar Carlos, followed by festivities in the refectory, where the whole community of the Seraphicum General House joyfully gathered.
Fraternal best wishes to the six new acolytes and special thanks to Friar Carlos.
