During the 2022-23 academic year, a two-year licentiate course in Contemporary Franciscanism will be taught at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of St. Bonaventure (Seraphicum) in Rome.

This cycle of studies is typical of the tradition of this academic institution. The Franciscan charism has been in the limelight these days, thanks to the magisterium of Pope Francis and the ever-relevant message of the Poverello. Lessons will start in October, 2022, and will be taught by a series of acclaimed guest professors.
Students completing the two-year course are awarded the academic degree of Licentiate. The course may also serve as further study for anyone who loves and lives the Franciscan charism. The course will cover such topics as Franciscan spirituality, the Franciscan Sources, the history of Franciscanism, the Franciscan mission, Franciscan ecology and economics, Franciscan theology, Franciscan prayer and more. The guest professors involved include Archbishop Felice ACCROCCA; Friar Bernardo MOLINA, OFM Cap.; Friar Carlos SALTO SOLÁ, OFM; Friar Zdzisław KIJAS, OFM Conv.; Maria Teresa DOLSO; Friar Massimo VEDOVA, OFM Conv.; Father Lorenzo CAPPELLETTI and other excellent scholars.
The faculty, therefore, continues its multi-year mission to further the study of St. Francis and his legacy.
