On Friday, November 8, 2019, Friar Rosario M. TERRANOVA, of the Province of St. Agatha and St. Lucy in Italy (Sicily), was ordained to the diaconate. The ordination took place at the minor Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in Palermo, Sicily, before a large and attentive assembly of friars and faithful who praised and thanked the Lord for this event.
The joy of the celebration was heightened by the presence of the ordaining Bishop, the Most Reverend Roberto CARBONI, Metropolitan Archbishop of Oristano, Italy, and Apostolic Administrator of Ales-Terralba, Italy. Before he was named and consecrated as a bishop, he wore the habit of our family of Friars Minor Conventual.
Friar Rosario was born in Palermo on September 17, 1984. He made his simple profession on September 8, 2012, and professed his solemn vows on October 22, 2017. May our brother proclaim the Gospel in the joy of our Lord Jesus, and serve the friars with the simplicity of our Seraphic Father.
