Kolbe in Tanzania, Friar Dariusz SZYMBORSKI, and the Minister of the Province of St. Francis of Assisi in Kenya, Friar Obed Muriungi KAROBIA. Other Friars present: Friar Leonard Githegi WAMBUI of the Province of Kenya, the Guardian of Arusha Friar Francis Zakaria MUMBURI and the outgoing novices.
At the end of the vesting, both the Custos of Tanzania and the Minister of Kenya entrusted the novices to the Novitiate Master, Friar Piotr Jan BUJNOWSKI, and his assistant, Friar Yeromini Miku MUNISHI.

Simple Profession
On July 26, 2021, at the Chapel of St. John Paul II in Makumira, in the Parish of Polising’si of the Archdiocese of Arusha, 12 novices made their simple profession. 9 of them belong to the Custody of Tanzania, while the other 3 belong to the Province of Kenya.
Friar Dariusz SZYMBORSKI presided at the Eucharist while Friar Obed M. KAROBIA gave the homily. The whole celebration was very colorful and all those present participated with emotion. Tanzania had never welcomed such a large number of temporary professed at one time.
From Tanzania, the following professed: Friar Colman MWERO, Friar Benjamin ASSENGA, Friar Frank NCHIMBI, Friar Bahati OLOMI, Friar Frolianus MULOKOZI, Friar Joseph MSANGAWALE, Friar Joseph KOMBA, Friar Alphonce CHUWA and Friar Nereus NYAURU; and from the Province of Kenya: Friar Ephantus NYAGA, Friar Collins WANJALA and Friar Ronald OMWOYO. All these confreres will continue their journey of formation in Zambia, at St. Bonaventure University for Philosophy.
We are ever grateful to God for these young men who have responded to God’s call and continue to say yes to God through daily commitment and discernment. We continue to pray for them that they will always desire to grow in God’s love and faithfulness to their vocation.
