On January 21-24, 2025, the Custody of the Holy Cross in Ukraine celebrated its second Ordinary Custodial Chapter at the Blessed James of Strepar Friary in Bilshivtsi, Ukraine.
The Minister General, Friar Carlos A. TROVARELLI, presided over the Chapter. He was assisted by the Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Anthony and Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow), Friar Mariusz KOZIOŁ; and the Assistant General for the Foederatio Europae Mediae et Orientalis (FEMO) Friar Tomáš LESŇÁK.
After hearing the reports and evaluating the last four years of the life of the Custody, the Capitulars elected a new government for the Jurisdiction. Friar Stanisław NUCKOWSKI was elected as the new Provincial Custos. He is forty-three years old, and was born in Lypnyky, Ukraine, on November 13, 1981. He has been a member of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual for twenty-two years and was ordained to the priesthood fifteen years ago, on May 30, 2009.
The new Custodial Definitory consists of Friar Maryan MELNYCHUK – Vicar and Secretary; Friar Stanisław PĘKALA – Econom and Exactor; and Friar Sławomir BYSTRY – Definitor.
