From November 8 to 10, 2021, the friars of the Province of Our Lady of Consolation in the USA (OLC) celebrated their Pre-Chapter Assembly at Mt. St. Francis, Indiana, USA.
The reports from the various commissions of the Province were read and studied. The friars discussed the importance of adopting an attitude towards the world, which is consistent with the teachings in Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’. The friars then conducted a straw poll on those they would propose for leadership positions. On the last day, the six friars who received the most votes to be Minister Provincial presented their vision regarding the needs of the Province in the next few years. There was also a discussion on the possible involvement of the Province in the restructuring of the presence of the friars in the United States.
