On Saturday, August 1, 2020, nine novices from the Provincial Delegation in Vietnam (of the Province of St. Joseph of Cupertino in the USA [SJC]) were vested in the habit. The ceremony took place at the St. Anthony of Padua Friary in Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam.
On August 8, 2020, the Delegation welcomed fourteen new postulants for their first year of discernment and formation. Additionally, four confreres renewed their temporary vows on the same day.
Because of the pandemic and the cancellation of flights into Vietnam, three novices of the Delegation who completed their year of probation in the Philippines, made their simple profession in Tagaytay City in the Philippines, on Saturday, August 15, 2020. The ordinations to the diaconate and priesthood that had been scheduled for this August were postponed to a future date. Please pray for all the friars of our Delegation in Vietnam.
