On January 27-31, 2020, the Province of Mary Immaculate in Indonesia celebrated the second part of its Ordinary Provincial Chapter. The newly elected Minister Provincial, Friar Cornelius Tri Chandra FAJARIYANTO, presided.

Others attending included sixty-six Capitulars from the new Province; the Assistant General for the Federation of Asian Minors Conventual (FAMC), Friar Benedetto Seung-jae BAEK; and Friar Valerio FOLLI, representing the mother Province, the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua (Northern Italy), which is guiding the growth of this new Jurisdiction.
The Chapter began on Monday afternoon with a votive Mass of the Holy Spirit presided over by Friar Cornelio. After the Mass, the friars worked until Wednesday discussing issues relating to the Province Four-Year Plan (PPQ). At the end of this first session, the revised Provincial Statutes were presented by the Preparatory Committee, with the corrections submitted by all the Provincial communities. The work was very intense. After the discussion, and additional corrections by the Capitulars, the Provincial Statutes were approved. The friars appreciated the new Provincial Statutes, which had been founded upon the new General Statutes and the new Constitutions.
Once all the Motions were approved, the Committee collected them and presented them for approval as the Province Four-Year Plan.
On Thursday, the Chapter elected the Guardians and formators. The elected Guardians are Friar Titus Khian LIMNGARDI for the friary in Delitua; Friar Tarsisius Robert Zonpiter SIHOTANG, for the friary in Bandar Baru; Friar Andreas Elpian GURUSINGA for the friary in Padang Bulan; Friar Longinus JUDUNG for the friary in Pematangsiantar; Friar Justianus Bayu APRIANTO for the friary in Jakarta; Friar Ignasius SUSILO for the friary in Tiga Juhar; Friar Florentinus Nongo SEMBIRING for the friary in Sasi Kefamenanu, and Friar Gilberto Albino Dos Reis DA COSTA for the friary in Tiga Dolok.
The elected formators are: Friar Samuel SIMANGUNGSONG, Rector of the minor seminary; Friar Maksinimus NEPSA, Rector of the postulancy program; Friar Longinus JUDUNG, Rector of the post-novitiate; and Friar Gilberto Albino Dos Reis DA COSTA, Novice Master.
The Chapter ended with the commemoration of those confreres who had died during the past two years. Since there were no deceased from Indonesia, the friars decided to commemorate Friar Antonio RENZINI, who had been the Minister Provincial of the former Province of Bologna and who always had Indonesia at heart.
