On April 8-12, 2024, the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Poland (Gdańsk) conducted its eleventh Ordinary Chapter. The Chapter was held at the Education and Formation Center of the Diocese of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg in Koszalin, Poland.

Thirty Delegates attended the Chapter, coming from friaries in Poland and abroad. Another thirteen friars attended, some of them participating as officials, such as Friar Carlos A. TROVARELLI, the Minister General, Friar Tomáš LESŇÁK, the Assistant General for the Foederatio Europae Mediae et Orientalis (FEMO); and Friar Wojciech KULIG who began his second term as Minister Provincial.
In fact, one special moment during the Chapter occurred on Wednesday, April 10, when Friar Wojciech swore his oath of office at the Hermitage of Święta Góra Polanowska [Holy Mountain of Polanowska].
The next day, April 11, the members of the Provincial Definitory were elected. They are Friars Robert WOŁYNIEC (Vicar); Piotr MATUSZAK (Secretary); Stanisław KREFT (Econom); Piotr PLISZKA (Exactor); and Stanisław PIANKOWSKI and Robert KOZIELSKI (Definitors).
An important part of the Chapter proceedings was the work done in groups. This work was aimed at summarizing the last four-year term and determining the tasks of the Province during the next four-year term.
We congratulate the Definitors on their election. May God bless them and may the Mother of God protect them during their term.
