On March 24-27, 2025, the General Custody of the Sacred Convent of St. Francis in Italy (Assisi) celebrated the second part of its Ordinary Custodial Chapter.
The Custos, Friar Marco MORONI, led the Chapter assembly. Others present included the Minister General, Friar Carlos A. TROVARELLI, and the Assistant General for the Federazione Intermediterranea Ministri Provinciali (FIMP), Friar Giovanni VOLTAN. The Capitulars began by evaluating, integrating and voting on the Motions presented by the Custodial Definitory. After extensive discussion and debate they also gave final approval to the Custodial Four-Year Plan.
Next, Friar Emanuele RIMOLI was elected to his first term as Guardian of the Franciscanum Friary. The election of the Guardian of the Proto-friary of Rivotorto was delegated to the Custodial Definitory to be addressed at a later time.
The Chapter was conducted in a peaceful atmosphere with lots of room for fraternal discussion, both when working in small groups and in the Chapter Hall.
