On July 11-30, 2021, the Union of Conventual Franciscans of Brazil (UCOB) conducted a winter course in Franciscanism for the temporarily professed friars of all the Jurisdictions in Brazil.
As per tradition, the course was held in the Province of San Maximilian M. Kolbe in Brazil, at the São Francisco de Assis Friary in Brasilia. During this fraternal event, the young friars participated in various activities and conferences on different topics.
Friar Rogério PEREIRA XAVIER, the Assistant General for the Federación América Latina Conventuales (FALC), also took part in the course while carrying out a fraternal visit to the Province. The event gave him an opportunity to meet the friars and talk about the challenges of the contemporary world, Franciscan identity, the dangers of clericalism and more.
The meeting was a time of hope and courageous proposals.
