On November 20, 2019, a prayer and reflection meeting was held for the thirteen postulants of the Provincial Custody of St. Bonaventure in Brazil. The meeting took place at the Menino Jesus de Praga [Child Jesus of Prague] Friary in São Luis, Maranhão, Brazil.

In the morning Friar Conceiçao Francisco RIBEIRO, OFM Conv., gave a presentation on the theme, “Franciscan Spirituality and the Vocational Journey.” After lunch, there was an evaluation on the entire formation process during the year, highlighting prayer life, work, study, fraternal life and personal growth.
After some time for prayer and reflection, the Rector, Friar Roberto Honorato Oliveira DOS REMÉDIOS, gave each postulant three cups and three pens that were personalized with the logo of the Custody.
Spiritual retreats are fundamentally important to the formation process, because through them, the young man in formation has an opportunity to meditate and reflect on his vocation. This particular day was filled with many graces and blessings from the Lord Jesus.
One result of this meeting was sharing the conviction that we must live our Franciscan lives better each day, firmly convinced that God walks with us.
