On March 5-9, 2018, the friars of the Delegation of Chile had their annual retreat at the monastery of the Vitorchiano Trappestines in Quilvo, Chile.
In keeping with the Four-Year Plan of the Delegation and reference to the biblical text of Romans 12: 1-2, Father José ABARCA, a Claretian, led the retreat and invited the friars to explore the theme “Transformation through Renewal.” This follows the example of Jesus, starting from his humanity and that of St. Francis of Assisi. In this sense, the Four-Year Plan, the community plan and each friar’s personal plan will be a journey of transformation and a path toward growth.
After Vespers on Thursday, March 8, the friars, together with two more in formation, Friar Augusto URZÚA GONZALES (temporarily professed) and Eduardo BARRERA DIAZ (postulant) shared their Personal Life Plan for this year.
On Friday, March 9, after Vespers and the Way of the Cross prepared by those in formation, the friars returned to their community, feeling renewed and ready to live a new way of life.
