On October 3, 2021, the vesting of six novices took place during the celebration of Evening Prayer I of the Solemnity of Our Holy Father St. Francis of Assisi. The event was held at the San Maximiliano Kolbe Friary in Itagüí; Antioquia, Colombia.
The 2021 novitiate of the Federación América Latina Conventuales (FALC) got underway on January 15, 2021. One of the six novices belongs to the Provincial Delegation in Chile, another to the Provincial Delegation in Cuba, two are from the Provincial Custody of Mary, Mother of Mercy in Central America and two are from the Provincial Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Colombia.
The celebration was presided over by the Minister Provincial of the Province of Our Lady of Montserrat in Spain, Friar Juan Antonio ADÁNEZ SILVÁN. He was joined by the formation community of the novitiate and by the friars from the San Francisco de Asís Church in Medellín.
May the grace of God, which inspired our Seraphic Father St. Francis to live according to the pattern of the Holy Gospel, continue to guide the life and vocation of these brothers of ours, so that, by adhering to the mystery of Christ Crucified, they may be visible signs of the presence of Christ in the world.
