On April 23-27, 2019, an Assembly of the Centralis Europae Foederatio (CEF) and the annual meeting of the post-novices of the CEF Federation and the Provincial Custody of Blessed Agnellus of Pisa in Great Britain-Ireland were held, at the same time, at the Holy Spirit friary in Zagreb, Croatia.

All of the CEF members were present with the exception of the representative of the mission in Sweden. There were also ten post-novices present (eight from the CEF and two from the British Custody) along with their respective formators. As usual, the Custos took part in the meeting, represented by his Vicar Friar Jesmond PAWLEY. The Assistant General for the CEF, Friar Miljenko HONTIĆ, was also present.
The group shared time together during prayer, Mass, meals and while meeting with the Assistant General. Other elements were handled separately. These included an assembly of the Superiors, chaired by the CEF President, Friar Bernhardin SEITHER (Minister Provincial of Germany), and a meeting of the post-novices, led by Friar Josef FISCHER, the CEF Delegate for formation.
The program for the post-novices was centered on three themes: “Meditation According to St. Bonaventure” presented by Friar Ivan LOTAR (Croatia); “Pagan Contemplation and Our Catholic Christian Faith” presented by Friar Josip BLAŽEVIĆ (Minister Provincial of Croatia); and “The Second Chapter of the New Constitutions of Our Order” presented by Friar Igor SALMIČ (Minister Provincial of Slovenia). After the lectures, the post-novices and their formators worked in study groups.
During the Assembly, with the Assistant General present, Friar Josef convened all the formators and their respective Superiors to assess the situation in the various formation houses.
Finally, some other common moments took place, such as a visit to the friary and parish in Zagreb, and an outing to an ancient castle and a Marian shrine.
