On November 23-26, 2018, the Assistant General for the Centralis Europae Foederatio (CEF) visited the Conventual Franciscan community in Copenhagen, Denmark.

This is a missionary presence that opened almost two years ago. It belongs to the Province of St. Jerome in Croatia. The mission in Denmark currently has two friars: Friar Tomislav CVETKO (from the Province of Croatia) and Friar Tomaž MAJCEN (from the Province of St. Joseph in Slovenia).
These two confreres will be joined by Friar Stephen BEJO from the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception and Bl. Bonaventure of Potenza in the Philippines. Friar Stephen has already received his residence permit and can begin studying the Danish language. His presence will make the mission in Denmark completely international.
As the visit continued, Friar Theodor JÜRGENSEN (from the General Custody of the Sacred Convent of St. Francis in Italy (Assisi), met with the friars of Denmark. Friar Theodor is the only Danish-born friar in our Order. He had several meetings in Denmark to give witness to Franciscan spirituality and the Franciscan charism, especially among the Lutheran communities.
Friar Miljenko HONTIĆ, the Assistant General for the CEF, also visited the Most Reverend Czesław KOZON, Bishop of Copenhagen, Denmark. They spoke about the future of our mission and the situation in the diocese and in our Order.
