On September 14, 2019, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Friar Jérémie-Marie Baptiste MACÉ professed his solemn vows into the hands of Friar Jean-François Marie AUCLAIR, the Custos of the Provincial Custody of St. Bonaventure in France-Belgium. The ceremony took place at the Saint François Friary in Cholet, France.
The Mass was celebrated in the friary garden, with the participation of family and friends, confreres of the Custody and friars from the Post-novitiate in Padua where the newly professed is undergoing formation under the guidance of his Rector, Friar Antonio RAMINA.
It is worth adding that the Mass was celebrated on a new altar created by Friar Jérémie-Marie with assistance from a group of young people who also took part in his solemn vow retreat. The retreat was held at the same friary, under the guidance of the Custos, who completed the altar by placing the cornerstone himself. In his homily, the Custos mentioned the construction of this altar and spoke about the vocational journey of Friar Jérémie-Marie.
The Mass was followed by a fraternal agape meal under the shade of some trees in the friary garden. The event was attended by a large group of Franciscan Youth who were there for their monthly formation meeting.
