On October 3-7, 2018, the Delegate General for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (GPIC) and the Secretary General for Missionary Animation (SGAM) made a fraternal visit to Timor.
Friar Joseph BLAY (GPIC) and Friar Jarosław WYSOCZAŃSKI (SGAM) went to Indonesia mainly to discuss the most important goals of both offices with each fraternity.
With a spirit of attentive listening, they visited two fraternities: Kafamenanu (with eight friars) and Pássabe (with three friars).
On October 4, 2018, the feast of the Seraphic Father St. Francis, they celebrated Mass with the local clergy, religious, and the people with whom our confreres share daily life.
The friars lead a very simple lifestyle, as do the people. One is immediately aware of being in an impoverished environment, but it is an environment where the people are warm and welcoming. The visiting friars experienced all this and much more as they traversed the vast territory of the mission in Timor.
