From January 22 to February 8, 2018, Friar Tadeusz ŚWIĄTKOWSKI, the Assistant General for the African Federation of Conventual Franciscans (AFCOF), took part in the Definitory meetings of three Jurisdictions: the Provincial Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Kenya, the Provincial Custody of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Tanzania, and the Province of the Franciscan Protomartyrs in Zambia.

These fraternal visits are being carried out by the General Definitors, on behalf of the Minister General, in order to assist the governments of the Jurisdictions in their task of animating and planning various activities. In particular, the Visitator evaluated the state of implementation of the Provincial/Custodial Four-Year Plans which had been adopted and enacted at the Ordinary Chapters of each Jurisdiction.
The Definitors of the aforementioned Jurisdictions are:

– Tanzania: Friar Dariusz SZYMBORSKI, Custos; Friar Benson MAPUNDA, Vicar Custos and Custodial Secretary; Friar Mieczysław BEDNARCZYK, Econom; Friar Jerome MUNISHI, guardian; and Friar Laurian LASWAY, Pastor.
– Zambia: Friar Richard CHIMFWEMBE, Minister Provincial; Friar Mathew KASONGO, Provincial Secretary; Friar Joseph KACHELEWA, Postulancy Director; Friar Maximilian MAROZZI, Pastor; Friar Innocent MUBANGA, teacher; Friar Hillary MULENGA, guardian; Friar Timothy KAYULA, guardian, and Friar James CHISHIMBA, Definitor.
