The National Elective Chapter of the Secular Franciscan Order (OFS) in Latvia took place on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Holy Trinity Parish Church in Riga, the capital of Latvia.

The fraternity in Latvia is an emerging national fraternity. It only has seventy-two members living in two local fraternities. The OFS in Latvia is assisted by the Capuchin Friars Minor. During the first session of the Chapter, the reports of the National Minister, the National Treasurer and the National Formator were presented. In the session that followed, Attilio GALIMBERTI, Delegate of the OFS General Minister, spoke about the social responsibility of the OFS in the light of Laudato Si. Next, Friar Alfred PARAMBAKATHU, OFM Conv., General Spiritual Assistant, spoke of about the need to maintain peace and unity among the members of the OFS, in the light of A Letter to a Minister by St. Francis of Assisi.
Attilio GALIMBERTI presided over the elective session of the Chapter, assisted by Friar Alfred PARAMBAKATHU. Gundega Zake CIMZA was re-elected National Minister and Agnes IRBE Vice-National Minister.
