July and August 2022 were a time of great blessing for the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico: “The Lord has done great things for us” (Ps 126:3).
On July 13, 2022, our confreres, Friars Carlos Alberto CATZIN JUÁREZ and Gonzalo GONZÁLEZ NAVARRO, were ordained to the priesthood through the imposition of the hands of the Most Reverend Alfonso CORTÉS CONTRERAS, Archbishop of León, State of Guanajuato, Mexico. The ordinations took place at the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Church-Rectorate in León, which is under the pastoral care of our friars.
On August 8, 2022, Friars Abel CRUZ AUSENCIO, José Nahers PARRA NIEVES and Julio César ÁLVAREZ RAMÍREZ concluded their novitiate year and professed their simple vows into the hands of the Minister Provincial, Friar Mario CASTRO MARTÍNEZ. On the same day, Friars Juan Carlos REYES SANTILLÁN and Víctor Antonio GALVÁN PALACIOS began their novitiate year with the rite of vesting in the habit of the Order. The events took place in Totolapan, State of Morelos, Mexico.
Finally, on August 17, 2022, Friars Raúl Alejandro ROBLES JIMÉNEZ and Bernardino LÓPEZ FRANCISCO professed their solemn vows into the hands of the Minister Provincial. The ceremony took place at the María Inmaculada formation house in Cuautitlán Izcalli, Mexico City, Mexico.
