On May 19-21, 2023, the Province of the Immaculate Mother of God in Poland (Warsaw) hosted a youth weekend on the theme: “Discover the Miraculous Medal.” The event took place at the Province’s friary in Niepokalanów Lasek, Poland.
About thirty young people participated. They were between fourteen and eighteen years of age. The event was quite brief, but intense. The most important part of each day was the Mass and the common prayers in the evening. However, there were plenty of joyful moments, as well. Of particular note was a movie marathon and an outdoor game, during which St. Catherine Labouré “wrote letters” to the young people to teach them more about the Miraculous Medal. Later, each participant was given a Miraculous Medal. Friar Remigiusz TROCKI led the youth in a meditation, during which they learned about the dangers that can negatively impact their young lives in today’s world.
The weekend concluded with Mass in the local chapel. The parents of the youth also attended the liturgy. The youth left Niepokalanów Lasek happy and looking forward to the next meeting.
