On Saturday, May 10, 2025, the Church of the Holy Trinity in Gdańsk hosted a significant event for the Order of Friars Minor Conventual: the celebration of priestly and diaconal ordinations. The ceremony gathered many friars from the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Poland (Gdańsk), along with their families, the faithful, and friends of the Conventual Franciscan community.

The Most Reverend Piotr KLESZCZ, OFM Conv., Auxiliary Bishop of Łódź, Poland, who celebrated this unique liturgy for the first time in his episcopal ministry, presided. For many, it was another opportunity to pray and express gratitude for his recent episcopal ordination.
During the Mass, Friar Adam DUNST was ordained to the priesthood and Friar Grzegorz ZABŁOTNY was ordained to the diaconate. Both friars spent their years in formation getting prepared for this spiritually, intellectually and pastorally important moment.
In his homily, Bishop KLESZCZ talked about the essence of priestly service, a service that is full of humility, openness to others and deep union with Christ. Referring to the spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi, he also stressed the need to live in simplicity and fraternity.
Among the guests was a large delegation from the parish in Klaipeda, Lithuania, where Friar Adam DUNST served as a deacon. The delegation was led by the Guardian and Pastor in Klaipeda, Friar Piotr STROCEŃ.
