On June 1-4, 2022, a summer meeting for missionaries was held at the Warsaw Missionary Formation Center in Poland. Among the participants were three friars from Peru, Tanzania and Ecuador.

The missionaries prayed together and listened to various spiritual lectures. They also heard reports on the current challenges facing the Church in Poland, on the legacy of Blessed Stefan Cardinal WYSZYŃSKI, “Primate of the Millennium”; on the relationship between the Church and the media in Poland; on contemporary models of missionary dialogue; and on the work of the Polish Episcopal Commission for Missions.
Participants also learned about opportunities for supporting charitable missionary projects and received training on how to deal with threats and dangers in missions. In addition, they watched a film about St. Albert CHMIELOWSKI entitled Nędzarz i Madame (The Pauper and the Lady).
The Most Reverend Jan PIOTROWSKI, Bishop of Kielce, Poland, and President of the Polish Episcopal Commission for Missions, also attended the meeting. During the meeting, Bishop PIOTROWSKI celebrated a Mass for those missionaries who were celebrating their jubilees of missionary service.
At the end of the meeting, the missionaries went to the Shrine of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Jasna Góra, Poland, and took part in the Second National Congress of the Rosary and in the Tenth National Pilgrimage of the Living Rosary, where Father Kazimierz SZYMCZYCHA spoke. Father Kazimierz is a member of the Divine Word Society and the Secretary of the Polish Episcopal Commission for Missions and the Delegate for Missionaries.
Currently, there are 1,800 missionaries from Poland serving in the missions. They are present in ninety-nine countries around the world.
