On November 25-27, 2019, the 15th communication workshop for Church institution employees took place in Konstancin-Jeziorna, Poland.
Eighty-two people from all over Poland took part, including the friars of the Province of St. Anthony and Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow) and of the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Poland (Gdańsk).
The theme of the meeting focused on recent Internet applications, on positive ways that women should be presented on the web and on ways to protect of children and young people.
Those sharing their knowledge and experience included Paweł FRĄTCZAK, a spokesman for the State Fire Brigade; Bogdan RYMANOWSKI, a program host and journalist with Polsat Television; Ewelina CHEŁSTOWSKA of the Urzekająca.pl website; and Father Maciej MAKUŁA, head of the Editorial Office of Catholic Programming for Polish Television
Those addressing the protection of minors and young people and communications in the event of a crisis were Jolanta ZMARZLIK of the Empowering Children Foundation; the Most Reverend Wojciech POLAK, Primate of Poland; and Fathers Adam ŻAK (SJ), Piotr STUDNICKI, Jan DOHNALIK, and Przemysław ŚLIWIŃSKI.
Spokespersons from various religious Orders and dioceses participated in the workshop, as well as employees of Church institutions that deal with communications on a daily basis.
The founder of the workshop is Friar Jan SZEWEK, OFM Conv. He organized the first meeting for men and women religious in 2007 in Cracow. The dioceses took part in this event for the first time in 2009, on the initiative of the then spokesman of the Polish Episcopate Father Józef KLOCH.
