On Saturday March 10, 2018, the Postulator General of the Conventual Franciscans, Friar Damian Gheorghe PĂTRAŞCU, attended the opening of the Collanian Year at the parish church of San Girolamo Emiliani in Rome. The Collanian Year is celebrated in honor of the Servant of God, Sister Maria Santina COLLANI, (1914-1956) of the Institute of Merciful Sisters.

The Most Reverend Giuseppe MANI, Archbishop Emeritus of Cagliari, Italy, presided over Mass. Those concelebrating included the Postulator General, the Minister General of the Somascan Fathers, and the local pastor. Many nuns from the Institute of Merciful Sisters attended along with a large number of faithful.
The Archbishop said that the “Servant of God Maria Santina COLLANI is a living image of the Gospel and if we want to become saints, we should follow her example.”
