On the evening of June 24, 2020, the student friars from Asia residing at the Seraphicum International College in Rome closed out the academic year by holding an intercultural evening.
A variety of cuisines were offered. They represented the nationalities of the students currently at Rome: The nationalities involved were India (Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe), Indonesia (Province of Mary Immaculate), Vietnam (Provincial Delegation), the Philippines (Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception and Bl. Bonaventure of Potenza), and South Korea (Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe) along with some confreres from China.
Some friars from the General Houses in Rome were also present, including Friar Benedetto BAEK, the Assistant General for the Federation of Asian Minors Conventual (FAMC) who spoke a few words of gratitude and encouragement on behalf of the Minister General.
This year, a year marked by the pandemic, let us join with our student confreres and give thanks to the Lord for always giving us hope to build a new world.
