On Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021, the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus, the friars of the Community of the St. Bonaventure International College (Seraphicum) joyfully celebrated the 70th anniversary of priesthood for Friar Francesco URICCHIO and the 50th anniversary of priesthood for Friar Felice FIASCONARO.
The friars celebrated solemn Easter Mass at noon in the San Bonaventura chapel of the Seraphicum. The Guardian, Friar Felice FIASCONARO, presided. The Minister General, Friar Carlos Alberto TROVARELLI, was also present at the celebration. He offered everyone his warmest, heartfelt wishes for a Holy Easter and he congratulated Friar Felice for his fifty years of priesthood and Friar Francesco, for his seventy years of priesthood.
In his homily, the Guardian humbly thanked the Lord for this great gift and expressed his heartfelt affection for the friars of the Seraphicum Community and the friars of the whole Order. At the end of the celebration, and on behalf of the whole community, Friar Raffaele DI MURO (Vicar Guardian) gave Friars Felice and Francesco an icon depicting the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus, emphasizing the mystery of the Cross which is identified in the mission carried out by the “jubilant friars” as they exercise their priestly ministry. The Minister General shared a meal with the friars and thanked the community for celebrating this happy fraternal occasion on the day of the Resurrection of Our Lord.
