On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, the General Secretariat for Mission Animation (SGAM) presented the SGAM’s renewed structure at a meeting of the Ministers Provincials, Custodes and Delegates of the Foederatio Europae Mediae et Orientalis (FEMO). The SGAM was represented by Friars Dariusz MAZUREK and Valerio FOLLI.
At the request of the FEMO President, Friar Marian GOŁĄB, the representatives gave presentations on two topics in particular: the Project Office (Friar Valerio) and the mission of the SGAM (Friar Dariusz).
The creation of the Project Office is a new entity within the SGAM structure and within the Order as well. It was created in order to implement Motion No. 2 of the 2019 General Chapter. It is very important that all the friars of the Order understand the goals of this office and the various ways it will collaborate with missionaries in carrying out projects.
In addition, the SGAM representatives spoke about the tasks that SGAM member Friar Elio Jorge ROJAS will be performing. He is in charge of disseminating information on the Conventual Franciscan missions through social media, in order to deliver news beyond the confines of our Jurisdictions. The representatives also talked about the tasks that Friar Dariusz will perform. In addition to missionary animation, Friar Dariusz will collaborate in the preparation and implementation of missionary projects, under the guidance of the Minister General and his Definitory.
