On May 16-19, 2022, the Province of Our Lady of Consolation in the USA (OLC) conducted its Ordinary Provincial Chapter at Mount St. Francis, Indiana, USA. Twenty-two Capitulars attended, including Delegates and Ex-officio members.

After hearing reports on the General and Provincial visitations, the participants listened to summaries of other reports, which had already been presented at the Pre-Chapter Assembly, celebrated in November of 2021.
Friar Martin DAY, who was elected Minister Provincial by mail, took his oath of office on Wednesday, May 18, in the afternoon. Friar Phillip LEY was chosen as Vicar Provincial and Friar Mario Luevano SERRANO was chosen as Provincial Secretary. Friars Randall KIN, Andrew MARTINEZ, Leo PAYYAPPILLY and John BAMMAN were chosen as Provincial Definitors, while Friar Paul G. SCHLOEMER was chosen as Provincial Exactor/Econom.
During the discussions at the Chapter, the Province demonstrated its commitment to issues such as safeguarding creation, social justice for refugees and immigrants, the rejection of racism, and more. The Chapter coincided with the opening of the Mary Anderson Gallery, which featured an exhibition of various artworks produced by the friars of the Province. During the same event, the friars made Don and Mary Carol KELLY, long time benefactors of the Province, honorary members in the Province.
The second part of the Chapter will be held in Mesilla Park, New Mexico, on July 18, 2022.
