On July 17, 2019, the friars of the Conventual Franciscan Federation (CFF) celebrated the vesting of five new novices at the St. Francis of Assisi Novitiate in Arroyo Grande, California, USA.

The new novices are Michael HINTZE of the Province of St. Bonaventure in the USA (SB), Joshua SHERLS, Alexander GOULD and Roberto MACIAS-MARIN of the Province of Our Lady of Consolation in the USA (OLC) and Christopher FERNANDEZ of the Province of Our Lady of the Angels in the USA (OLA). Friar Joseph WOOD is the Novitiate Director and Friar Maurice RICHARD is the Assistant Novitiate Director.
On the same day, three novices of the prior year celebrated the completion of their novitiate year. They were Friars Antonio MOUALEY, Raad ESHOO, and Joseph KRONDON, all from OLA. On Monday, July 22, 2019, the three novices made their first profession of vows at the Shrine of St. Anthony in Ellicott City, Maryland, USA. This event coincided with the celebration of the profession and ordination anniversaries of various members of the Province.
Two novices from the Provincial Custody of Blessed Agnellus of Pisa in Great Britain-Ireland will continue their novitiate year until its completion at the beginning of November. They are Friars Kyle BANKS and Peter FLYNN.
