On Sunday, April 30, 2023, the Feast of the Good Shepherd, most of the dioceses in Vietnam hold a festival to promote vocations at the pastoral center of the diocese. The representatives of various seminaries and religious congregations are invited to the centers to speak to the young people of the parish about vocations with their institute.

This year, the Provincial Custody of St. Francis Anthony Fasani in Vietnam participated in vocation promotion events in four dioceses and one parish. Friar Michael NGUYỄN (Khải Hoàng), the Custodial Vocation Director, took part in an event in the Diocese of Thái Bình with around two thousand young people attending. Friar Dominic NGUYỄN (Công Hoài) participated in an event in the Diocese of Phú Cường, where another two thousand young people were present. Friar Joseph LÊ (Văn Vượng) participated in an event in the Diocese of Vinh, where about two thousand five hundred young people attended. Friars Joseph VŨ (Đức Huynh) and Dominic ĐINH (Công Chưởng) participated in an event in the Diocese of Bùi Chu, where about two thousand young people participated. Friar Peter NGUYỄN (Ngọc Duy) and the novices organized an event at the Christ the King Parish (Diocese of Ban Mê Thuột) where Friar Peter serves as Associate Pastor. Around eighty young people participated.
The pastoral centers hosting the vocation events, assign a booth to each participating congregation. The booths are decorated with posters introducing the congregations. The representatives from the seminaries or religious brothers and sisters are present in the booths and welcome young people seeking information. The young people wanting to learn more are provided face-to-face consultation or given brochures that explain more about the congregation. In addition, some of these representatives organize activities in which the young people are invited to participate, such as singing hymns or dancing.
Most of the young people are high school students, so discerning a vocation with them is a long-term process. The Custody will organize its own particular activities to promote vocations to college students and working people through various channels of communication and interaction.
