During December of 2022, the Delegate General for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation, (JPIC) Friar Michael LASKY, visited the formation houses of the Conventual Franciscan Federation (CFF) in the United States.

From December 4-8, he visited the St. Bonaventure Friary and Postulancy House in Chicago, Illinois, and from December 11-16, he visited the St. Joseph of Cupertino Novitiate in Arroyo Grande, California.
Friar Michael makes an annual pilgrimage to the postulancy house and novitiate of the CFF; it is a tradition that goes back six years. Along with prayer and fraternity, he offered several days of initial formation presentations on JPIC.
The presentations included:

    • JPIC as our Franciscan DNA
    • JPIC and Franciscan Prayer
    • JPIC in Franciscan Art
    • Catholic Social Teaching from Pope Leo XIII to Pope Francis
    • JPIC in the Order of Friars Minor Conventual Today

In Chicago, he and the postulants enjoyed an outing to the Christkindlmarket. At the novitiate, he and the novices celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12 and the Feast of the Queen of the Franciscan Order on December 15.
