On October 23-26, 2018, the friars of the Province of the Franciscan Protomartyrs in Zambia held a workshop for friars completing their initial formation within the last five years. The workshop took place in Ndola, Zambia.

Twelve friars gathered to reflect upon their fraternal, spiritual and apostolic life during these last years and to consider their hopes for their future. Friar Jude WINKLER, the Assistant General for the Conventual Franciscan Federation (CFF), was the coordinator for this week of renewal. He took his reflections from St. Paul’s Letters (1 Corinthians and Philippians) and applied various ideas in those letters to our Franciscan life.
On October 24, the friars gathered with other friars living in the Ndola area to celebrate our national day of independence with an afternoon picnic.
On that day, the Minister Provincial, Friar Richard Francis CHIMFWEMBE, along with Friar Jude, visited the mission in Ibenga to view the damage done to the church during a recent storm (reported on this site in an earlier posting).
